Sister Taylor would like to thank all the choir members, leaders, ministers and the GLCC church family for supporting her last Sunday at Word of Life Ministries.  There’s nobody like GLCC saints!  Thanks so much for your Love & Support!

Please join GLCC in welcoming Maurice Pelt as the choreographer for the Haven of Hope Dance Ministry under the leadership of Ministry leader Theresa Robinson. Maurice is also the leader and choreographer for GLCC’s Mens dance ministry Kingdom of Praise! We are also excited about his new ideas to introduce a youth dance ministry as well! Maurice is welcoming all who would like to participate in either ministries ages 5 and up to attend a meeting immediately following the 11a.m. service on Sun., Sept. 21st.

The Youth Ministry is growing and doing great things! If you have a heart for children and are interested in being a part of this ministry, please see Mother Claudia Hunter for more information.

W.O.W group will be meeting on Tues., Sept.16th at 7p.m. Come and join a great gathering of fantastic women that are making a powerful impact in their marriages.

Are you or someone you know in need of prayer? If so, please join us every Wednesday right here at GLCC at 6:30 p.m. for Intercessory Prayer. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16.

Attention Security Team members! All of the men are encouraged to attend the Men’s fellowship breakfast on Sat. Sept. 20th at 8a.m. Immediately following, there will be a mandatory Security Meeting at 9:30 a.m. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Robert Vester prior to the meeting date to let him know why you will not be present.

Two Becoming One ministry will meet Sun., Sept. 21st in the multipurpose room from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Our topic will be The Divorce Shield (the couple that prays together stays together), scripture will be from Amos 3:3, Matthew 18:20, 1st Peter 3:7, and John 16:24. All married couples and those planning on getting married are welcome, as we continue to enforce our marriages we can withstand the attacks of the enemy.

Countdown: This is the final Sunday to register for our Annual Conference, Women Transformed by the Spirit.  The registration fee is $20.  As a reminder, Lois Greene from Las Vegas, NV will be our keynote speaker, we will have 2 workshop sessions for women and teenage girls, and the conference will be held on-site at GLCC Friday evening and Saturday morning.  Babysitting will be provided both nights for a small fee.  After our Saturday morning session, we will have lunch at the Peppermill, along with a spa retreat.  Conference participants who opt to have lunch and/or attend the spa retreat are responsible for covering their own cost.  For more information contact Tiffiney Bradley at tiff7iney@yahoo.com.

Special thanks to Pastor Taylor and everyone who has made donations to our Annual Women’s Conference. Your donations are enabling women who cannot afford the costs to attend. We are still accepting donations so if you can contribute, please see Min. Tiffiney at the Women’s Min. table immediately following services.

Pastor Taylor will be the guest speaker at Bishop and Lady DuPree’s Appreciation Services on Fri., Sept. 26th at 7p.m at Rehoboth Holy Temple. Rehoboth is located at 700 Smithridge Park in Reno. Everyone is asked to join us for the service.

Attention all men of GLCC! Our next CMA will be at University Family Fellowship, 1125 Stanford Way in Sparks on Sat., Sept. 27th. Join us at 7:15 a.m. for breakfast and 8a.m. for the Word. Invite a friend and come out for the one hour meeting that has been put together just for you. For more information, please see Pastor Vince.

Are you a new member of GLCC and have not attended the New Member’s class? If so, the next class is Sat., Oct. 4th from 10a.m. – 3p.m. Please RSVP to 348-2050 by Sept. 30th, speak slowly and spell your name. Also, if you need child care please add the number of children and their ages so we can arrange for child care. Lunch will be served!
