Asst. Pastor Angie will be ministering today at Bethel AME’s Church Anniversary. Everyone is asked to come out and support her at their 3pm service. Bethel is located at 2655 Rock Blvd. in Sparks.

NNBCAS presents their Soles 4 Kids! Now until August 31st they are collecting new shoes for school age students grades K-12. These shoes will be given to kids in the Reno/Sparks Community in need of shoes. If you would like to donate, you can bring the shoes here to GLCC and place them in the barrel in the vestibule. ACCEPT’s Positive Action Anti- Drug & Alcohol Class is from 11:30 AM -1:00 pm. Classes are for 4th, 5th and 6th graders and will run through October 16th. There will be no class on September 4th; Labor Day weekend. Each student will receive a $25.00 gift card for perfect attendance.  If you bring a new friend you will receive $5.00 for each new person you bring!

No Opportunity Wasted (NOW, Inc.) in partnership with WCSD and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity presents free college prep workshops for all 8th-12th grade students. The workshops will be held at UNR from 10am-4pm on specific dates from August 2016 through March 2017. Topics include: ACT/SAT prep, Essay Writing, College Applications, Financial aid and much more.
